The Story of Ma Famiglia
"Entertaining seeks to impress, hospitality seeks to bless" — Jen Wilken
This restaurant has come full circle!
In 1978, Roy and Mary Ann Mazzola moved from Steamboat Springs to open Mama Mazzola’s in this very building. Sixteen years ago Kris, Roy’s second child, and her husband Henry Arcolesse, also moved from Steamboat Springs to carry on the tradition.
In 2022, ready for retirement, the torch was passed to the Ford Family. The Ford's have been a part of the Meeker community for years, serving and pastoring a local church and running their ranch. With 12 kids in the family and 5 grand kids, their hearts are full!
One of their daughters, Brooke; and her husband Levi now manage and co-own the place. — You are likely to see their faces often!
Brooke and Levi met each other attending the same church. Levi, a long time outfitter for River's Bend Outfitters, is originally from Arkansas. Brooke was attending college and working here as a waitress during this time and spent many evenings waiting on the "cute cowboy with the red hair". Soon after they married, Levi broke his collarbone in a horse accident and they knew it was time to make a change. Since this time, Brooke and Levi have kept the traditions of Ma Famiglias while adding their own twists and varieties like their Breakfast Menu and Specialty Coffee and many desserts hand crafted by Brooke and her mother, Beth. Truly, a labor of love, Brooke and Levi hope to continue serving their community for generations to come.
